childrens drama

the childrens drama i reviwed which was an episode of 'Kenan and Kel' named ' april fools day'. the episode followed a very simple set of camera shots and angles. the main shot used was a simple wide shot in order to show the hole set and make the set feel more like a stage. there is still a lot of close ups and shots changing from person to person which makes it more suitable for television viewing. the show is filmed in front of a live studio audience and the camera is used to try and make the experience similar to that of how the audience would see it.

the music was fairly straight forward and only really occured when there was a scene change and rarely otherwise. this again adds to the feeling of watching the show live but with added effects to give it more production value. the scene changes are a little more impressive, with pre filmed footage used to cover the screen and then once it has cleared the scene has changed giving it a smooth transistion. the title sequence is different in every episode, the two main characters (Kenan and Kel) address the audience about what they can expect during the episode. the acting is very enthatic and overegsadurated which makes it a little bit more obvious that it is all filmed in front of a live audience. the enthatic acting also adds to the characters behaviour and the more silly there act the more of the character is brought out.

the ever popular surreal humor of 'the mighty boosh' returns with the much anticipated series 3. the 'boosh' is back and is better than ever as Howard,vince and boys tackle running an antiques shop were something bizzare is bound to happen which famously exludes any logic. this series goes into more  of characters Vince and Howard and puts them in evermore strange and ridicolous situations. popular characters also make a return such as bollo the gorrilla,naboo,tony harrison the pink head with tenticles and of course the moon.
